There are some venues that feel truly magical every time you return — and for me, The Dreys is one of those special places. Nestled in the Kent countryside, it’s a woodland venue that feels both rustic and luxurious, with twinkling lights, tall trees, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you forget the outside world exists. Being blissfully local to me, it’s always such a treat when I get to work here.
For Stef’s wedding, the woodland setting couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment she stepped into her dress, surrounded by the trees, there was this gorgeous calm and magic in the air.
Stef’s Bridal Look
Stef had one clear wish for her wedding day: she wanted her freckles to shine. Natural beauty was the focus, so we created a base that was light, fresh, and almost undetectable, letting her skin radiate through. With plenty of hydrating skincare layered underneath, her skin looked glowing and healthy from morning through to evening.
I used a mix of Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel products to achieve her look — soft glam that enhanced rather than covered. The result was timeless, romantic, and completely “her.”
The Morning
From our first trial right through to the wedding morning, Stef was such a joy to work with. The morning itself was relaxed but filled with excitement — the best kind of bridal prep!
I worked alongside the lovely Holly who styled the bridesmaids’ hair beautifully, and it was a pleasure to meet Stan and Alex, who captured the day perfectly.
The Details
No woodland wedding is complete without those personal touches that make it unforgettable. Stef’s dress from Isabella Grace Bridal was a showstopper, and her flowers by Coco and Bloom added the most romantic, natural finishing touch to the woodland setting.
