Some wedding mornings are just pure joy — and Grace’s was exactly that. From dancing on the beds to non-stop laughter, the whole morning felt like one big celebration before the celebration. You could feel the closeness between her and her bridesmaids, and the bond she shared with her mum was so lovely to witness — full of warmth, giggles, and a few happy tears.
I first met Grace on a rainy February morning in Herne Bay. I knocked on the door, excited to get started — but it was her sister who answered, looking completely baffled. Turns out Grace had gotten the time totally wrong! It honestly made for the best icebreaker (we’ve all been there, right?). When she appeared, laughing and apologising, I knew straight away we were going to get on like a house on fire.

For her wedding, Grace had a clear vision: a half-up, half-down style with a modern feel and soft, bouncy waves through the ends. During her trial, we played around with a few variations and landed on a look that was sleek and polished, yet still romantic. Grace’s bridesmaids brought their own dose of style — both girls rocked a sleek high ponytail, which looked super elegant against their dresses.
One bridesmaid, who wears her hair in a ponytail almost daily, even introduced me to a new product I’m now slightly obsessed with: Sol de Janeiro’s Leave-In Conditioner. It gave that glassy, sleek finish without the dreaded crunchy texture — an absolute game-changer for ponytails that still move.

Grace and her partner tied the knot at the stunning Port Lympne — a wild and wonderful venue that’s always such a treat to visit. In true British fashion, the weather flipped completely from our rainy trial day: they were blessed with blue skies and sunshine for the entire celebration. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
