A Dream Morning with Emily at St Paul’s Cathedral ✨

When Emily’s enquiry landed in my inbox, I could hardly believe it. A London-based bride, getting married at the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral, and she wanted me to create her hair and makeup for her wedding day? I jumped at the chance and responded immediately.

Emily had done her homework and knew exactly what she wanted — remember the Sophia Richie bun? Divine. Paired with natural, timeless beauty, it’s my ultimate combination and exactly the kind of bride I live for: sleek, polished buns and fresh, glowing faces.

The Trial

I traveled up to Emily’s location for her trial — the same place she would be getting ready on the big day. Together, we curated a look that perfectly suited her features, her style, and the grandeur of her venue.

Hair

Emily’s hairstyle was a sleek, shiny bun, designed to leave space for her veil at the back while remaining easy to remove without disturbing the style later on. My go-to products for this look were Moroccan Oil Mousse and a Denman boar bristle brush, giving her hair shine, hold, and movement.

Makeup

  • Bobbi Brown face base and serum

  • Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation, blended seamlessly with a damp beauty blender

  • Nudestix blush in ‘In the Nude’

  • Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Cream Shadow

  • Pillow Talk Lipstick

  • Mascara and individual lashes

  • Hourglass palette for light and radiance

The result? Fresh, luminous, and perfectly timeless — just like Emily had envisioned.

Dress & Flowers

Emily’s dress, from Essence of Australia via Angelica Bridal Curve, was kept a surprise right up until the very end — and I absolutely loved that little reveal! The floral arrangements, by The Floral Decor, complemented the elegance of St Paul’s Cathedral beautifully.

The Bridal Party

Emily had two bridesmaids, both of whom I had the pleasure of styling: one with a glossy, bouncy blowout and the other with a textured half-up style. Both looked effortlessly chic and complemented Emily’s sleek bun perfectly. I also had the honour of doing hair and makeup for Emily’s mum, rounding out the bridal party with a polished, cohesive look.

A Sweet Surprise

Just before leaving for the ceremony, the girls gifted Emily a small book of candid snaps from the morning, captured on a Polaroid camera. I hadn’t seen this before — it was such a thoughtful, heartfelt moment, and Emily absolutely loved it.

The Big Day

From start to finish, Emily’s wedding morning was a dream. St Paul’s Cathedral is a breathtaking venue, and Emily — you were the perfect bride. Your wedding will forever hold a special place in my memory.

Photos by Boutique Films are simply stunning — I spent hours just looking at them, completely in awe of their beauty.

Thank you, Emily, for trusting me with your wedding morning — it was an absolute honour to be part of such a magical day. ✨
